DIY Escape Room
My dear prisoners
Welcome to my dungeon. I hope you enjoy your stay. I have a few little rules. Nothing to worry about.
First I will ask you to please not go through the bars. It's terribly impolite.
Second, please follow the map. It will not lead you astray.
And third, don't leave anyone behind. Bad things happen to those who linger.
Have fun and make sure you get out in time.
Oh and don't mind the vampire in the attic. She's not hungry.
My kids make me laugh.
Apparently, we found an activity that brought out the drama in my otherwise, reserved teen; DIY Escape Room. She and her sister were assigned to create an Escape Room in an area of their choosing and have us test them.
They learned about some possible puzzles online, drew maps of their designated areas and got to work locking and loading their spaces with keys and clues.
They dressed up their baby brother to be their accomplice in the welcoming pit, before running away and creating creepy noises from above (not to mention, dropping out of holes in the hay mow!)
They equipped us with flashlight, hand-drawn map and a wooden stake, in case of a vampire attack!
We were stuck in a dark barn, with slobbering pot-bellied pigs, a wandering chicken and random tripping hazards for 25 minutes before finding our way free!
Now she is looking for more victims, so anyone who visits our house, quickly gets ushered to the intro...
My dear prisoners...
