Earth Study: Chalk Pastel Still Life

 

Super simple set-up with stunning results. This is our kind of art project!

Using black cardstock, loosely sketch a vase topped with various sized circles on top, in pencil. Using chalk pastel, colour sun rays in your circles and layer the shades until the circle is filled with colour. Add stems and leaves. Highlight with lighter greens. Outline the entire drawing with white pastel. Then fill in what's left of the cardstock with loose scribbles.
