Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet

 

For the high school years, we're dabbling a wee bit in classical literature. Miss O has read Lord of the Flies, Sleepy Hollow, Tolkien and a little bit of Shakespeare (albeit with a large helping hand from classical Coles notes and a modern movie viewing!)

To keep assignments entertaining, we found a few suggestions for expanding on Shakespeare's plays. She wrote a series of text messages between characters that gave a snapshot of the plot. Then she created a comic strip to demonstrate in a little more detail. Lastly, she created a comic with her own twist.

Long story short, she felt Romeo was rather fickle and in the end, neither Juliet or Rosalind could be bothered;)
