Oceans: Water Weight & Pressure

Another simple science experiment with easy-to-understand results: the Holy Water Bottle. We combined this experiment with learning about the depths of the ocean, water pressure and weight. Before we drilled the holes in the bottle, we discussed what might possibly happen. Then we drilled four vertical holes in a line, approximately an inch apart. We sealed the holes with a piece of tape, while we filled the bottle the the brim with water. Once we removed the tape, we observed the reaction; the bottom hole shot the longest and furthest, receiving the most weight and pressure.
