Summers Out, 'Zines are In

 

The summer season is coming to an end; a time when many families prepare to go back to school and homeschoolers rejoice at the newly emptied beaches, parks and libraries;)

Or, in our house, a time to wrap up your 'zines and get sending them to your favourite people!

For several years, the big kids have created Summer Magazines featuring games, field trips, book reviews, colouring pages, tutorials and tons of art! We photocopy and fold them into little magazines ('zines) to stamp and share. This year, we have a collective three years of 'zines to mail, so the kids are preparing the packages with pops of handmade stamps, name stickers and beautiful binding. It's a great way to work some little lit lessons into the summer rhythm and have a memory book of sorts, for the season.
