Apples: Candy & Art

Last year, we located an incredible recipe for Cider Caramel. Essentially, you are reducing apple cider to all it's goodness by removing a lot of the water in evaporation, then adding it to a coconut milk/sugar brew for a creamy, thick Fall flavoured caramel. We used it swirled in ice cream, across chocolate cake and this year, on apples as a pseudo candy-apple.

Pick your stick.
Maybe a creepy twig (for the poison apple effect), a popsicle stick or cinnamon stick.
Dip it in the cider caramel (once refrigerated, it becomes super thick. You may have to warm first.)
While sticky, add your bits (rice krispies, crushed nuts, cacao nibs...
Optional: Drizzle with melted chocolate.
