Portugal: Painted Photograph & Poetry

 

Starting with the leaves...

Oh! Such a simple concept with beautiful results! We photocopied some colour shots from travel and then painted directly on the colour copy with acrylics. You can spice up your selection with a variety of shades, or chose colours that closely resemble the ones in the photo.

The overall look reminds me of paint-by-number. To increase depth, make sure to create shades within subjects and objects.

The pretty ocean

Gently splashes small pink toes

running on the beach

sinking into sand.
