Wooden Book Stand

 

Hubby and I combined forces to create a prototype for bookstands, so I can display them in shops and businesses.

It's basically two slabs of wood, one is the back, the other, the stand/shelf. They slide into one another with opposite notches. This also allows them to come apart for easy travel.

Our prototype happened to be slightly off-center so the shelf doesn't slide straight though. As it turns out, this is a decent mistake, as the look of the off-centered book is more appealing.
