Valentines: Eraser Stamps & Hallmark Poems
They are relatively easy to carve and simple to stamp with a good, old ink pad. Draw any sketch in pencil then flip and transfer onto a clean eraser. Carve the bits out that you do not want inked. And remember, write backwards!
The kids attempted their second round of Pet Peeve Poetry, where they use similes (using 'like' and 'as') to compare a subject to things that are annoying, irritating, difficult and disgusting (synonyms.)
Love is as annoying as melting ice cream
as irritating as not being able to find an eraser
as difficult as finding a specific word in the dictionary
as disgusting as kissing
as enraging as your brother not listening to you
as crazy as this poem.
~Miss C
Fairytales are as provoking as a jab
as disturbing as love
as irritating as pestering siblings
as bothersome as regrets about a big choice
as difficult as a Rubix cube
as infuriating as a racoon you can't find.
~Miss O
