Bushcraft: Why Knot?

 

What better way to practice knot-making than to tie up your siblings.

Everyone's favourite game became Why Knot? Dad has done this before with the kids, insisting that he and his friends used to challenge each other to escape, when there was nothing else to do (back in the day when tech was still not a thing.) They became incredibly creative and built on their knowledge with each attempt. Finally, insisting their dad be the (very willing) victim.

The Firehall Museum had this incredible Knot Board. Lovely project for knot-ical folk!

Also, since owning a copy of The Ashley Book of Knots I didn't realize how many the kids knew!
