Five-in-a-Row: Nature Lion Mushroom Kits (Children of the Forest)

 

Though Five-in-a-Row was intended for the littles, everyone was drawn into mushroom studies this week, based on the beautiful book by Elsa Beskow 'Children of the Forest'.

We're growing our own mushrooms with beautiful kits from the local Nature Lion.

Everyone drew straws to determine which mycelium species they would be growing; white or blue oyster, lions mane and chestnut. Simply score open the plastic bag and mist three times a day for edible mushrooms in less than 3 weeks.
