Portrait Cookies & YOU Interview

 

A big part of homeschooling is being aware of who my kids are and what makes them tick. Every year, we conduct an interview of sorts, a YOU interview with questions about what grabs their attention, an ideal day, current interests and this year I introduced a Love Language quiz for the older kids to help determine the way they give and receive in relationships. Not only am I asking for clarification about how they see themselves, I'm conducting research for the year ahead so everyone has deep involvement in what we do and explore.

Every year, sometimes twice, we introduce some sort of Portraiture. This year, we made them edible, because who doesn't want to eat something sugary and beautiful!?
